The June 1, 1949 issue of the Ridgeway Mercury-Herald announced that the movie showing that week was “Wild Harvest“ starring Alan Ladd, Dorothy Lamour and Robert Preston. A son, named Dwight Jr., was born Mr. and Mrs. Dwight Milligan and a daughter was born to Mr. and Mrs. “Bud” Warner. A remembrance service was held at the park and a “mixed choir” of members from different churches sang. In sports, Ridgeway beat Bethany in softball 12-2, but the baseball team lost to Cainsville 4-0 and Gilman City 17-4.
